Alan Ayckbourn inaugurated Scarborough’s Sea Wall Heritage Trail on 6 December 2022 and the latest Ayckbourn YouTube Channel video has exclusive footage from the event.

Sir Alan’s speech launching the trail is part of the Portholes in Time video, presented by Simon Murgatroyd, Alan Ayckbourn’s Archivist, who was at the event with the playwright.

The Sea Wall Heritage Trail is a mile-long walk along Scarborough’s Marine Drive in which 31 plaques tell the story of the town’s history and heritage looking at key people, places and events. You can find out more in a previous blog about the launch by clicking here.
