I’ve launched a new feature today on the Ayckbourn YouTube Channel called Ask The Archivist.

This is a chance to answer some frequently asked – and occasionally very obscure – questions about Alan Ayckbourn and his plays.

It kicks off with Who Was Roland Allen? This is a name Ayckbourn fans will recognise from his early plays and the answer as to who he is and what the name means can be found in this first video.

This will be a regular feature on the channel and you can email questions about Alan and his plays to me and I’ll endeavour to answer them in person and – at times – via the Ask The Archivist videos.
